I come to the practice of Law having enjoyed a variety of experiences in Life.  While my son and daughter were growing up, I made the decision to return to Undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto.  After completing two years of study in Criminology and Psychology, I realized that life was catching up to me and that I should decide what I wanted to be when I grew up?  The legal profession picked me and I entered Osgoode Law School at the age of 38 and was ultimately called to the Bar in 1993.  My next momentous move was to hang out my shingle as a sole practitioner in Guelph in 1996 and I have never looked back.  The community of Guelph has been very good to me and I have enjoyed assisting my clients and resolving their legal issues.  I chose to practice in the areas of Family, Real Estate and Estate Law, and based upon my extensive repeat client base, I venture to say that my choice has proven to be a successful life decision.  My personal life is dominated by my love of my dogs.  Molly is a 1-year-old Labradoodle who is the centerpiece of my Office. I call her my “Walmart Greeter!”  Life is good and I look forward to many more years ahead of me.

Willa-Lyn is my part-time Bookkeeper. She came to work for me when I opened my practice in 1996 as my Real Estate and Family Law Clerk while also maintaining my books. Willa has her BA in Psychology with a Minor in Criminology from the University of Western Ontario and her Law Clerk Diploma. As Willa’s family grew, she changed the direction of her career to focus on just bookkeeping, opening her own business and she currently maintains the books of many lawyers in Guelph and the surrounding area.
